Acclaimed poet Monica Youn will read from her award-winning new collection, “From From,” which evokes the conflicted consciousness of deracination and asks the question, “If you have no core of authenticity, no experience of your so-called homeland, how do Asian Americans piece together an Asian American identity out of Westerners’ ideas about Asians?”
