4-6:30 p.m.

The public is invited to hear Drs. Emma Kalb and Ali Asgar Alibhai present, “Mapping the Margins: Envisioning a Digital Database of the Lives and Worlds of Eunuchs,” a discussion on a new digital humanities project. The project explores how eunuchs were central to the social life of elite households in the premodern world, particularly as mediators of interaction and access, and occasionally as high-ranking imperial servitors.
