Week-long Juneteenth Celebration Features Music, Food, More Various locations on campus Admission: Free June 13-17 Various times
Celebrate Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the US, with the students, staff and faculty of UT Dallas. Several events take place throughout the week, including:
Monday, June 13—Kickoff event sponsored by the Black Faculty Staff Alliance at the Student Union Plinth from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., featuring a talent show, sweet treats and information about the holiday
Friday, June 17—Celebration at the Visitor Center Atrium from 5-6:30 p.m. featuring a Texas-style BBQ, Texas history trivia, sweet treats, games, live music, and UT Dallas’ annual Health and Wellness Fair
