May Book in Darbey’s StoryWalk®

Children and their families can read, learn together and get exercise at the same time with the Library’s Darbey’s StoryWalk®, this month’s selection is “Take Me Out to the Yakyu,” by Aaron Meshon. This book shows the differences among a little boy’s experiences attending ball games with his grandfathers, one in the United States and one in Japan. While some people might think of baseball as a solely American institution, the sport is huge in multiple countries.

Darbey’s StoryWalk® enables visitors to walk along a designated path behind the Library while reading pages of a complete children’s book posted at 16 different stations. It is free and open to the public around the clock, seven days a week, and the books change monthly.
