• “Celestial Celebration” Sept. 7
    8 p.m. in the Hill Performance Hall. Tickets are $15-$60.
    A multimedia performance and art installation inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The event features the Richardson Symphony Orchestra accompanied by nine video pieces produced by faculty and students of UT Dallas’ School of Arts, Technology and Emerging Communication (ATEC). “The Planets” will feature a 22-voice female chorus from the Richardson Community Chorale. In addition, concert goers will be treated to several lobby exhibits designed by ATEC faculty and students, one commemorating the founding of UT Dallas in 1969.

  • “Spectacular Follies” Opens Sept. 12
    2 p.m. Thursday-Sunday with an additional 7 p.m. show Saturday, through Sept. 15 in the Hill Performance Hall. Tickets are $22-$55.
    The Spectacular Follies celebrates its 11th year with “A New Attitude,” an all-new production showcasing the talents of a professional cast of entertainers over the age of 55. The family-friendly show features singing, dancing, gorgeous sets, lavish costumes and a live orchestra.
