The Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra (DAAYO), a local nonprofit arts organization funded in part by the Cultural Arts Commission, is holding open auditions for strings, woodwinds and brass via video through May 1. The auditions are for entrance into the orchestra in the fall of 2020 (the season is from August to May).
DAAYO is comprised of five orchestras ranging from beginner to advanced and welcomes youths from all cultural backgrounds. It has been serving the North Texas community since 1998.
