RICHARDSON – Our four-legged friends at the Richardson Animal Shelter are posing for the cameras. They’re participating in a series of fun photo shoots and hoping to capture people’s attention and their hearts.

“To be able to put an image of that dog or cat pulled away from all the noise of the Shelter and really show their personality, I feel helps a family understand the emotion of the animal or show how sweet and kind that they are because all these animals need love and a home,” said photographer, Katie Schmidt.

Schmidt is working with the Shelter to help tell the story of each animal from the dogs and cats to the rabbits and hamsters. The photographs will not only increase visibility, but also the number of adoptions.
