Our cutie Pepper would love to dash some love into your life! Pepper is a neutered pit mix that we think is around 4 years old. He is fully vetted and microchipped. He is one of our longest dog residents as he has been eagerly waiting for someone to take him home since July. He is heartworm positive but his heartworms CAN be treated. Heartworms are from dogs getting bitten by an infected mosquito and can be fatal if not treated, which is why owners must keep their dogs up to date on heartworm preventative medication. If you adopt him, you do get a discounted treatment with a vet clinic. This great and SUPER sweet dog is very laid back and gentle. He would need a meet-and-greet with an adopter’s dogs to see if they would get along. He walks well on a leash and has a very calm temperament.
