Altrusa International of Richardson began accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship program today (Friday, Jan. 2). The program is open to high school seniors planning to attend universities/colleges, community colleges or vocational training programs in the United States. Applicants must reside in the City of Richardson or attend an RISD school, and recipients will be selected based on scholastic achievement, financial need, community volunteerism, extracurricular activities and a short essay. Scholarships must be used for the next school year and will be sent directly to the school.
Applications are available at www.AltrusaRichardson.com and are due Feb. 13 at 4 p.m.
Last year, Altrusa Richardson awarded $22,000 in educational scholarships to RISD seniors.
