RICHARDSON – Accolade Community Theatre in Richardson is giving a classic tale a modern spin with its latest production “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” running April 22-24 and May 6-8.
Accolade is a new community theatre in Richardson and operates out of The Core Theatre located at 518 W. Arapaho Rd.
“I think they are having a blast and to be honest so are we. I mean it is such a joy, they are so creative, they are so smart, they are so funny, and you see each kid, even the ones that are shy, you see them blossom,” said Rachel Cross, co-founder of Accolade Community Theatre.
The nonprofit started last summer by local parents giving kids an affordable opportunity to participate in the performing arts.
There are 50 kids involved with the production and allows young people the chance to stand up in front of an audience and practice public speaking, something parents say will help them in the future.
