City Manager Don Magner has appointed Wayne Corum as the City’s first Director of Facilities and Fleet. Corum comes to the City with more than 17 years of experience in municipal government and has also spent time managing large commercial fleets in the private sector. His first day in the new position will be Dec. 11.

The Facilities and Fleet Department was created during the 2023-24 budgeting process. Fleet Services was previously under the Finance Department, while Facilities Services was housed in the Engineering and Capital Projects Department. Combining the two areas into one department is something that other cities have done and should make both Facilities and Fleet operations more efficient since the skillsets and responsibilities of both areas align.
