In an effort to continue to provide mission critical services, while also responding to the needs to limit public exposure to COVID-19, the City of Richardson announced facility closures and service modifications earlier this week. The changes impact the City’s Library, Municipal Court, Animal Shelter and Parks and Recreation Department.

Modifications include things like curbside service at the Library, where book orders can be called in, but other facilities like the City’s recreation centers have had to be closed to the public. The Animal Shelter is limiting service to appointment only and at the Municipal Court all dockets, hearings and trials starting through April 30, 2020 are postponed.

All closures and service modifications will be continuously re-assessed to determine whether they should be extended beyond March 27.
