“Healthy Lawns/Healthy Waters” Class Aug. 18 Includes Free Soil Test

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s Healthy Lawns and Healthy Waters Program will host a residential rainwater harvesting and turf management class Wednesday, Aug. 18 for residents of Dallas, Ellis, Johnson and Tarrant counties. The free event will be offered both in-person and via Zoom online from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (The in-person training will be held at the Ruth Jackson Center, 3113 S. Carrier Pkwy. in Grand Prairie.)

A free lawn soil test for participants will be provided at the AgriLife Extension Service office in Dallas (17360 Coit Rd., just north of Campbell Road) as well as at the Ellis, Johnson and Tarrant County Extension offices. In-person participants may also bring a soil sample to the program.
