RICHARDSON – People driving down Spring Valley in Richardson Wednesday morning between Gatehouse Dr. and Waterview Dr. may want to avoid the area as crews with International Chem-Crete will be spraying a special type of liquid on the concrete pavement starting at 9 a.m. and scheduled to take about three to four hours to complete.
The chemical used on the road can penetrate the surface, almost 10mm. It will prevent water such as rain, to penetrate the concrete, causing deterioration. The material crews will be spraying can also fix small existing cracks in the concrete making for a smoother commute.
The work may cause traffic disruption as various westbound lanes will be impacted alternately. Its advised commuters avoid the area if possible.
