The Richardson Citizen Fire Academy Alumni Association (CFAAA) recently announced the recipients of its 2020 scholarships. Through generous contributions and membership fundraising, the CFAAA was able to award two $1,500 scholarships to deserving children of Richardson Fire Department employees.
The recipients are William Hauptrief, son of Daron Hauptrief, an A shift firefighter at Station 3; and Mackenzie Sherburn, daughter of Brad Sherburn, a driver/engineer/paramedic on the A shift at Station 3. The CFAAA’s Scholarship Selection Committee believes that “these scholarship recipients exemplify the dedication to education, hard work, service, leadership and personal development that we, as a volunteer organization, are proud to support.”
