“Destiny of the Republic—A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President,” a nonfiction book by Candice Millard, is the subject of a continuing Lunchtime Lecture series being presented by Richard Cudlipp. Part Two will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in the Basement Program Room. The book tells of James Garfield’s rise from poverty to the American presidency, and about his assassination and legacy.
Open to both adults and teens. Registration is not required and there is no cost to attend. Attendees may bring their own lunch.
