Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov.11, is a day to celebrate military veterans who have served their country honorably during war or peacetime. As it is a federal holiday (and a state holiday in Texas), all non-essential federal government offices will be closed including post offices; most banks will be closed as well as they fall under the Federal Reserve. State of Texas offices will be closed; municipalities vary.
In Richardson, all municipal offices and services will operate on a regular schedule.
The Richardson Senior Center will honor veterans with concert from the Upswing Jazz Orchestra.
Date: Monday, Nov. 9
Time: 1:30 p.m.
