Construction on Main Street in downtown Richardson is substantially complete, and no additional lane closures are scheduled. Work completed during the past three months includes:
- Drainage improvements
- Street paving and pavement markings
- Sidewalks and pavers
- Bench installation
- New lighting
- Tree planting
- Irrigation system installation
- Removal of Oncor power poles and the relocation of their overhead power lines to underground
The multi-phase Main Street Reconstruction Project is designed to improve mobility, safety, infrastructure and the overall streetscape in Richardson’s downtown area.
