The City’s Public Services department has released a revamped Recycling Guide this week, designed to make it easier than ever to recycle correctly and reduce contamination. To keep up with recent updates from our local recycler, Republic Services, residents should focus on these five core categories:
- Cardboard: Please ensure all boxes are flattened.
- Paper: Standard office paper, mail and newspapers (excluding shredded paper).
- Metal Cans: Aluminum and steel food and beverage cans.
- Glass: Bottles and jars.
- Plastic: Focus specifically on plastic bottles and jugs.
By sticking to these streamlined essentials, you help ensure our recycling program remains efficient and effective.
