Volunteers are some of the most important workers at the Richardson Animal Shelter.  They help staff get the facility nice and clean for visitors and it’s the furry residents.

Volunteers make sure the animals are getting regular exercise and are receiving a lot of attention.

“Every hour or minute these animals are socializing with people, it helps increase their chances of adoption,” said Noura Jammal, supervisor, events and special projects.

Anyone who is 15 years of age or older is welcome to volunteer at the Shelter.  Volunteer orientation is held on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
