This week the City Council approved a resolution on terms and conditions to allow for road improvements near the intersection of Campbell Road and US 75.
The project is slated to start in November and will add a westbound auxiliary lane on Campbell Road and upgrade the traffic signal at Collins Boulevard and Campbell Road. It also adds a new left turn lane to the US 75 southbound frontage road at Campbell Road, and extends its right turn lane.
Federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality funds are providing $1.4 million for the $2 million project, with the state kicking in $53,310 and the City providing close to $600,000 through the 2015 Bond Program and proposed 2020 certificate of obligation bond funding.
