The Richardson City Council approved $375,000 in grants for 22 area cultural and arts-related nonprofit organizations at Monday’s meeting, based on recommendations from the City’s Cultural Arts Commission. Funded through the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund, the grants will support operating expenses and regular programming for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The recipients represent a wide range of artistic disciplines, including choral and orchestral music, theater, ballet, literature and visual arts.

Selection criteria for the grants include an organization’s focus on Richardson, overall community impact, and efforts to advance the City’s Cultural Arts Master Plan.
