In this multimedia, immersive installation, Saya Woolfalk has created a dynamic interplay of symbols and imagery by drawing on her vast analog and digital archives of past projects, “quilting” together historical elements from the fictional world she created known as the Empathic Universe. The installation is set up as an infinity loop, allowing the audience to experience what being immersed in that universe feels like, engaging in continuous and complex interactions and responses with its residents.
