After a soft opening in mid-February, Sherrill Park Golf Course’s Course 2 officially opened this week with a ceremony and golf tournament. Special guests present included noted PGA Pro and golf course designer D.A. Weibring, whose company redesigned Sherrill Park Course 1 in 1997 and 2015, and Course 2 in 2001, as well as the recent Course 2 redesign. Weibring addressed those gathered and mentioned how well-received the new course has been and praised his longtime friend, Sherrill Park pro Ronny Glanton.
Renovations to Course 2 began in February 2024 and included fixing drainage issues and improving the course’s playability, aesthetics and turf.
