The Richardson City Council has reappointed former Richardson Mayor Gary Slagel to represent Richardson on the Board of Directors for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). Slagel has served on the DART board since 2011. His board position, appointed every two years, represents Richardson, University Park, Highland Park and Addison.
At Monday’s City Council meeting, Mayor Paul Voelker recognized Slagel’s longtime support of multimodal transportation for Richardson and for the region, “positioning it in the forefront of what makes this city so strong.”
