There’s one week left for students to enter in the City’s third annual “Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Contest.”

The contest is open to students who live in Richardson or attend a school in Richardson with winning works to be published through the City’s communications channels.  The winning students will receive $200 and certificates of achievement from the Mayor and Council.

Every Tuesday, we will be showcasing past winners. This week, we’d like to introduce you to Markella Joseph, who shared her award-winning Essay with us.

We invite you to visit www.cor.net/ArtandEssayContest for more information including contest rules and deadlines including information on our “Black History Month: Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion Art Contest.”
