Power outages are a possibility because cold days cause people to turn up electric heaters, which can put a drain on local electrical equipment. Water main breaks are also common, especially one-to-two days after a cold spell.

Anyone observing water running on streets or sidewalks is encouraged to report the leak to the City’s 24-hour Response Center at 972-744-4111.
