Many residents of Richardson’s Creek Hollow Estates have been adding an extra activity as they go on walks through their neighborhood and in nearby Breckinridge Park: picking up trash and recyclables (last week, their clean-up efforts netted six large bags of trash). Now their supplies will be provided free of charge thanks to them reaching out to the City’s Community & Corporate Environmental Cleanup Program, which provides environmentally minded groups in Richardson with bags, gloves and tongs and picks up all the bags if left at a central location.
Any group wishing to help beautify Richardson can participate in the program, from families to corporate groups. Interested groups can clean up an area near their office/school/neighborhood or the Health Department can recommend an area where windblown and waterborne trash tends to accumulate.
