Volunteers organized by the Dallas chapter of SAP Business Women’s Network and One Earth One Chance braved the cold and rain earlier this month to help plant 10 trees around Lookout Park in recognition of Texas Arbor Day. The Parks and Recreation Department offers a tree planting program to any interested community groups, in which participants purchase a tree or trees and plant them, or have them planted by the City, on City-maintained land.
Trees may be selected from the City’s approved planting list of North Texas natives, and tree locations are determined by the person/group purchasing the trees along with a City representative.
