UT Dallas Student Ambassadors Clean Up Near Cottonwood Creek

Thirty student ambassadors from UT Dallas beautified an area along Floyd Road near Cottonwood Creek recently, collecting 14 bags of trash. The effort was part of the City’s Community & Corporate Environmental Cleanup Program, which provides guidance and supplies to area groups wishing to help keep the city clean and prevent trash from blowing into waterways.

Video Crime WAtch Program Gives Residents The Upper Hand

Since 1972, the National Neighborhood Watch program has encouraged residents to be the eyes and ears in their neighborhoods. The program calls upon residents to assist law enforcement in the prevention of crimes by monitoring their blocks and providing information to law enforcement that could lead to arrests.
