You may have seen or heard DART Silver Line trains traveling through the City. The trains are not ready for passengers but are undergoing testing to make sure they are properly functioning before opening to riders.

Every year, dozens of DFW-area companies come together to participate in the Richardson Corporate Challenge. This year, the 10-week Olympic-style competition is celebrating 26 years and will kick off Friday, Aug. 9 at 5:30 p.m. with an opening ceremony. People traveling near Huffhines Park during this time can expect to see more traffic in the area.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) extended the deadline to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance (IA) (for homeowners and renters affected by the April and May storms who reside in Dallas County and Collin County) to Aug. 15.

The League of American Bicyclists has released its annual Bicycle Friendly Community Public Survey, which includes Richardson. The survey aims to gauge a national census of Americans’ experiences and perceptions of riding a bike in different communities across the U.S.
