Thirty student ambassadors from UT Dallas beautified an area along Floyd Road near Cottonwood Creek recently, collecting 14 bags of trash. The effort was part of the City’s Community & Corporate Environmental Cleanup Program, which provides guidance and supplies to area groups wishing to help keep the city clean and prevent trash from blowing into waterways.
The program is open to any group of any size looking for a service activity. Supplies provided include plastic gloves, tongs and trash bags, and the City picks up the bags, if needed, when the event is finished. The City also provides direction in choosing an area needing assistance.
