“Grounded” Art Exhibition Begins Tonight with Public Reception

“Grounded” features works by Kalee Appleton, Hadi Asgharpour, Nitashia Johnson, Tara Lyon, Elizabeth Mellott, Leigh Merrill, Sharon Neel-Bagley and Becky Wilkes, and provides a reflection on the current state of our environment, with an emphasis on lens-based responses created by artists working in photography and video.

Professor Bernard Faure of Columbia University will present the 11th annual Anlin Ku Lecture on Chinese Culture, on the topic “New Perspectives on the Life of the Buddha.” He is an internationally renowned scholar whose recent book, “1,0001 Lives of the Buddha” is the basis of his remarks.
