“Dragon Eye” Free Gallery Walk/Talk Wednesday Evening

SP/N Gallery, 3020 Stewart Dr.

Admission: Free

Wednesday, Feb. 28

7:30-10 p.m.

A casual walking tour with artist-scholar Thomas Riccio, who will reflect on his new multi-channel exhibition, “Dragon Eye,” on view in SP/N Gallery through March 2. “Dragon Eye” is based on his 20 years of ethnographic documentation of the Miao people, a long-suppressed, marginalized and disenfranchised ethnic minority living in southwest China. Village daily life, the rugged landscape, events, people, market day, political functions and quiet moments portray a life seldom seen by the outside world.
