As is the annual custom, Oct. 31 will be the official day for trick-or-treating in Richardson. While the City does not set any official hours for trick-or-treating activities (and does not reschedule due to weather), the public is reminded to be extra cautious when driving at dusk and after dark. Here are a few tips from the National Safety Council:
- Watch for children darting out from between parked cars
- Watch for children walking on roadways, medians and curbs
- Enter and exit driveways and alleys carefully
- Be alert that some children are dressed in dark clothing
