The City of Richardson is suspending all trash, recycling and Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) services through at least Wednesday at this time due to hazardous conditions on area roads and alleys.
Solid waste services are being impacted due to the hazardous conditions that ice and snow can cause in places where large collection vehicles can impact gas meters and other infrastructure typically located in alleyways.
Personnel used to collect bags are also at risk of slipping and getting injured during the collection process if working on dangerous surfaces. Due to these hazards, solid waste collection is currently suspended.
