RICHARDSON – Starting tonight the magical world of Oz is coming to the Repertory Company Theatre in Richardson.
“It’s been a ton of fun diving into characters that people already know and love and are familiar with has been a really exciting experience. This is a story I actually grew up watching as people many people have so been able to revisit it now as an adult, its been a real wonderful experience,” said actress Kristin Purvis.
The classical Wizard of Oz is based on the novel by L. Frank Baum and features the music we’ve all grown to love. The musical stays close to the 1939 film that centers around Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman and the Cowardly Lion, and their journey to down the yellow brick road.
The Wizard of Oz at RTC runs August 20-29 with showtimes Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.
