RICHARDSON – Street Maintenance Crews have poured more than 200 cubic yards of sand, more than 12,000 pounds of salt, and around 22,000 pounds of ice melt onto busy intersections and elevated bridges throughout Richardson during this week’s winter weather storm.
“It’s been a very busy time for us. While we’re out sanding streets we are also taking care of response calls for Richardson Police and Richardson Fire,
“said Mario Aguilar, Street Maintenance Superintendent.
Currently, Streets crews are monitoring roadways and plan to continue sanding throughout Friday evening.
This weekend, crews will transition from sanding operations to assisting with tree removal operation.
