Staff from Community Services, Police and the City Attorney’s office gave an update to the City Council Monday regarding short-term rentals in Richardson and outlined suggestions for possible future regulations/ordinances. Evaluating short-term rental regulations is one of the tactics approved by the City Council to achieve its 2021-23 Goal Strategy, “Work to maintain a balance between responsible neighborhood integrity and the regulatory environment.”
The City will incorporate the Council’s feedback into additional development and refinement of regulatory options, which will be presented at a future City Council work session for further discussion.
