Richardson’s 47th Annual Christmas Parade helped many families get in the spirit of the holiday season.

From cars, horses to pets, singers and marching bands. There was a total of 61 entries this year with 2,300 individuals walking in the parade.

This year’s theme was a ‘A Lone Star Christmas.’ It featured costumed characters, community groups and a large crowd of spectators.

“It is my most favorite parade in the entire world. Christmas of course is my favorite time of the year and this is a great way to kick off the season for all of the good boys and girls in Richardson,” said Santa Claus.

The City’s Parks and Recreation Department organized the parade, which included trophies that were awarded to some of the parade entries.
