City of Richardson Leaders will deliver the 2026 State of the City Address, themed “Innovation in Every Direction.” The event will highlight historic infrastructure investments, economic growth, education partnerships, community vitality initiatives, financial strength, and previews of the 2026 Bond and Charter Elections.

The State of the City delivers the City’s most comprehensive update outlining how Richardson is leveraging innovation, collaboration, and long-term planning to strengthen quality of life and economic competitiveness.

Key announcements will include:

  • Record $483 million in active capital projects
  • Historic infrastructure and water system upgrades
  • Major corporate expansions and relocations
  • Growth in The CORE District and The IQ®
  • National recognitions for public safety, education, and library services
  • Preview of 2026 Bond Program (~$200 million)
  • Charter Amendment Election moving forward for May 5, 2026
  • Formal recognition of Ronny Glanton, PGA Hall of Fame inductee

The annual address is scheduled to take place Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Bank of America Theatre at the Eisemann Center (2351 Performance Dr., Richardson, TX 750820).
