Nominations opened this week for the 2024 Richardson Real Heroes Award program. The program, now in its 15th year, is sponsored by nonprofit Richardson Real Heroes and is the only citywide program that recognizes extraordinary volunteers whose work benefits the Richardson community. Selected recipients are celebrated during an awards ceremony in the fall at the Eisemann Center.
Eligible nominees do not have to be Richardson residents and must have:
- Provided service in an exemplary way to benefit Richardson, its residents or schools
- Not received compensation for the award-qualifying activity
- Not received significant prior formal recognition for their service outside the organization they support
Nominations deadline is April 30.
