Richardson has been ranked among the “Top 25 U.S. Growth Cities” nationwide and Texas reclaimed its spot as the No. 1 Growth State in the 2021 U-Haul Growth Index released this week. The annual ranking from U-Haul International calculates its findings based on the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering states and cities in a calendar year versus leaving, compiled from over 2 million one-way truck transactions.
According to U-Haul, the report’s migration trends do not always correlate directly to population or economic growth, but they are “an effective gauge of how well cities are both attracting and maintaining residents.”
