Richardson Public Library staff have been busy this week preparing for the Library’s move to the Temporary City Hall/Library and getting the word out to patrons that the current Library facility will close for renovations Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. Active holds will be suspended until the Library reopens at the temporary facility and all due dates for library materials have been extended until Oct. 23. Patrons are encouraged to “stock up” and check out multiple materials; the limit is 100 items per library card holder.

The Temporary Library is expected to be open in late October at 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd. Renovations at the current Library building, funded by the 2021 Bond Program, are expected to be completed in late 2025.
