RICHARDSON – During the month of September, Richardson will be participating in the annual “Spread the Hope” Collin County Peanut Butter Drive.
The goal this year is to collect 220,000 pounds of peanut butter.
Donations will go to the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB), which provides access to 190,000 meals each day for hungry children, seniors and families through a network of more than 1,000 programs and 200 partner agencies, including Richardson’s Network of Community Ministries.
“With your help we can continue to battle food insecurity and make a real difference in people’s lives,” said Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s drive will take place virtually, with donations being accepted online.
