The Richardson Police Department’s (RPD) 2022 Can Do Food Drive held last Saturday at Huffhines Park in conjunction with the Public Safety Expo brought in more than 700 pounds of food to benefit Network of Community Ministries’ Food Pantry and mobile food pantries. The Food Drive is an annual event hosted each fall by the RPD prior to National Night Out (NNO).
This year’s NNO in Richardson is scheduled for Oct. 4 from 6-8 p.m. and has a dual format, offering residents the option to gather at one of several Richardson parks or in their neighborhoods.
