There’s one more week to donate peanut butter as part of the annual North Texas Food Bank Peanut Butter Drive, held each year in September in conjunction with Hunger Action Month to benefit local food banks. Richardson is again participating, along with 21 other North Texas cities. Peanut butter is perpetually on food bank lists of most-needed foods, since it’s nutritious, kid-friendly and high in protein.
Local donations may be taken directly to Richardson’s Network of Community Ministries, 1500 International Pkwy., Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Wednesday 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and Thursday 8 a.m.-7 p.m. or given online through Amazon here. Additional drop off locations include: Heights and Huffhines Recreation Center, Senior Center, Gymnastics Center, Tennis Center, Public Library, Police HQ and Fire HQ.
