Litter Cleanup July 18 at Breckinridge Park 

The Sigma Alpha Epsilon Chapter from the University of Texas at Dallas and One Earth One Chance, in partnership with the City of Richardson, are holding a litter cleanup Saturday, July 18 at Breckinridge Park. Volunteers will pick up the litter with grabbers and gloves. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Changes Planned for 2027 Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival 

The City Council has directed staff to move forward with changes to the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival beginning in 2027, following a presentation at Monday’s Council meeting that outlined how operating costs continue to outpace revenue, requiring a sizable subsidy from the City to hold the event. The new model would create a more sustainable financial structure while also reducing overtime, lessening impacts on nearby businesses and property owners, and improving cost recovery efforts.

City of Richardson Announces Celestica Expansion at Telecom Parkway Campus

The City of Richardson is pleased to announce that Celestica, a global leader in data center infrastructure and advanced technology solutions, will expand its operations at 2801 Telecom Parkway, reinforcing the city’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing and technology-based employment.

Celestica Expands Telecom Parkway Campus 

Celestica, a global provider of data center infrastructure and advanced technology solutions, will significantly expand its operations at 2801 Telecom Parkway. The company has renewed leases for two existing buildings and signed a new lease for a 343,000-square-foot facility currently under construction, bringing its total footprint at the site to approximately 1 million square feet through 2036.The expansion is expected to retain nearly 400 existing jobs and create almost 2,300 new permanent positions over the next two years, strengthening Richardson’s advanced manufacturing sector and boosting high-tech employment opportunities across the region.

Staff from Catalyst Urban Development were on hand at Monday’s City Council meeting to present the City with the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) 2026 Innovation in Development Practice Award, which was received by Catalyst in April for the Belt + Main Development. The presentation recognized the City’s partnership in bringing the mixed-used development to life in The CORE District and its commitment to reinvest in and reinvigorate this historic area of Richardson.
