Work will begin later this month on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Silver Line bridge over US 75, resulting in nightly weekend lane closures. The bridge will be located along Spring Creek just south of the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT).

From April 22-July 24, the northbound and southbound HOV lanes, as well as the far-left northbound lane, will be closed to traffic Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. The northbound lane closures will begin just south of Galatyn Parkway and extend to the PGBT, while the southbound lane closure will start in Plano just north of Plano Parkway and extend almost to Galatyn Parkway.

As part of the construction, the HOV lanes will be restriped and reduced in width from 15 feet to 11 feet. Once that is complete crews will begin work on the concrete columns that will support the bridge as it crosses over US 75.

About DART’s Silver Line Commuter Rail Project
DART’s 26-mile Silver Line will stretch from DFW Airport to Plano with stops at UT Dallas and CityLine, traversing seven cities. At DFW Airport, the project will connect to the TEXRail Regional Rail Line to Fort Worth and provide access to the DFW Airport Skylink. The Silver Line will interface with three DART light rail lines: The Red/Orange Lines in Richardson/Plano, the Green Line in Carrollton and the Orange Line at DFW Airport. Construction is estimated to be complete in late 2024.
