New Posting Date Required for Council Meeting Agendas
As per recent state legislative changes to the Texas Open Meetings Act that have been signed into law, municipalities are now required to post agendas of upcoming public meetings at least three full business days prior to the meeting’s scheduled date (not counting the date of the meeting) unless an exception applies, beginning Sept. 1.
Last Weekend for “Clear the Shelters;” Adoption Fees Waived

Ramp Closures, Detours Continue Tonight at Bush Turnpike/US 75 Intersection
The northbound US 75 to east- and westbound President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) direct-connector ramps will be closed tonight, Friday, Aug. 29, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30 as the North Texas Turnpike Authority (NTTA) finishes up work that has been taking place in the area.
